With TSAMPA DIY Snack Kit, we want to offer you a base for your own energy bar. The Snack Kit contains the base of our TSAMPA energy bar: roasted barley tsampa flour, almond butter and rice syrup.
- Tsampa flour : the special thing about the Tsampa flour is the previous roasting of the barley grains. As a result, the tsampa flour is directly consumable and requires no further processing. No baking, no cooking. The flour has a delicious roasted taste without being too dominant. Perfect for many possible combinations!
- Almond butter : Almonds are delicious and wholesome, we know that! But have you ever tried almond butter ? Just the smell and the delicate creamy texture invites you to spoon out the glass. Together with the tsampa flour creates an incomparable nutty-roasted taste.
- Rice syrup : the third ingredient surprises with a mild sweet taste. Since rice syrup contains up to 21% complex carbohydrates, there is no exaggerated sweetness. Because glucose and fructose are responsible for this sweet taste, while complex carbohydrates are tasteless. The rice syrup is the binder for the tsampa flour and for a sweetener, the taste pleasantly fades into the background.

A snack is a snack, because it should be fast-nibbled. That’s why we made sure that you do not spend too much time preparing. Put all three ingredients together in a bowl and stir. Then you knead the mass into a dough. Finished! Or if you have a food processor, you can mix everything in it. Now you have practically a cookie dough in front of you and the great thing is, you can nibble it without any regrets!
Now the fun is really going on! Your healthy and homemade energy bar is ready, you just have to think about whether you want to leave it pure or add more ingredients. So you can add more nuts, dried fruit or rasps or, or, or …! You can make up to 12 bars of 40g from the dough.
The shape is up to you. You can make bars out of it with a rolling pin and a pizza cutter. Alternatively, power balls can be formed by hand from the dough or even talers. Is not the consistency crisp enough for you? Then put your creation in the oven for 10 min at 120 ° C and let the dough become crispier.
